So we here at AYCE have been thinking of expanding our team and after a long arduous search (don't worry the Rooney Rule was in effect) we have come to a decision. Our decision came down to someone who feels the way that we do about hip-hop...but also has his own, STRONG opinions. Some of you may read some of his stuff at his blog...if you haven't had the pleasure, you soon will. Without further adieu...we hope that y'all will warmly welcome MR. The Queens of Baltimore, The Get Em Mamis, sent through their new video "Work (Bitch)" yesterday. I must say, the ladies are lookin oh so fresh in this one. Looks like the type of party that I would like to be invited to sometime! They also announced that on May 25th they will be releasing a mixtape, "The Road to TerAwesome". This mixtape will be a collection of different tacks the duo as put out over the past year as well as some new joints. "The Road to TerAwesome" will serve as a prequel to their full length LP, "TerAwesome", out later this year. Enjoy the video and let us know what y'all think! The DMV doin it big in 2009! Peace.

Man, one of my favorite songs of all time has to be “Leflaur Leflah Eshkoshka.”  I mean, of ALL TIME.  The beat, the words, the delivery…off the charts!  For years I’ll find myself break into a little verse in my head outta nowhere… “it’s a shame how these MCs and wannabes/front on these and get hung up like dungarees”…and the I’ll promptly dig through the archives so I can bump that shit.

Little did I know, there’s a video?!?!  All these years and I had no idea… wow.  Mix is a little different, but it’s worth it to watch the Fab 5 (Heltah Skeltah & OGC) do their best Temptations moves, and Dru Ha make the Scarface cameo…fucking awesome.  Peep and enjoy!

Alright, alright, my dude Kid Hum and the House of Waxx crew came through with his "Offshore Drilling" mixtape and presented with Khal over at Rock the Dub. This tape happens to be a follow up to his, previously discussed,  "Fossil Fuels" instrumental mixtape. Now, it's funny cause Hum still remembered something I said in my review: "While I was feelin most of the joints on here, it left me wanting to hear someone going over these beats other than the computer generated voice overs". Yeah, I said it...and I stand by it. Though, now he runs through with those instrumentals, and with the likes of Sunken State, Whygee, PreZZure, and Braille blessing these tracks...I'll definitely give it a listen and so should you!
